"All the days ordained for me

were written in your book

before one of them came to be."

Psalm 139:16

Pennsylvania.  To most, the word elicits fond thoughts of colorful leaves, wide open fields, and slow-paced living.  The state fish is the

brook trout
, and the state cookie is chocolate chip. (that's right - there is such thing as a state cookie!)  Favorite recreational activities may include: watching cows graze, eating pie, and snapping photos of Amish buggies.  Honestly though, what's not to love about Pennsylvania??

Buffalo, New York.  I'm guessing your visual images have quickly changed.  When this city comes to mind, most people imagine frozen terrain, biting wind, and snow that doesn't know when to stop falling...  Inhabitants living here learn to love and appreciate both chapped lips and frostbite.  Recreation?  I'd go with shoveling.

What do both of these places have in common, you may ask??  The answer:
Katie Movic. :)

I spent my first 18 years growing up in the tiny town of New Castle, Pennsylvania.  It was there that I played hard (usually with rocks, toads, and imaginary friends), decided to become a ballerina, did the whole high school thing, learned a few life lessons here and there, and most importantly, made my decision to follow Jesus.
No turning back

From PA, I made my move to Buffalo, where I've spent the past 4 years living it up as a college student attending the Unviersity at Buffalo (where I study Psychology and Dance).  This is the place where I have really grown up.  God has been so faithful (of course!) in revealing himself to me, showing me who I am, and preparing me for what is next.  Regardless of the wind chill, I have come to love this place, love my friends, and love my God.  Jesus has truly captured my heart.
No turning back.

From Buffalo to... Africa?!  All things considered, I can honestly say that the journey so far has been a sweet one.  As God has directed my heart toward his plan, my heart has found itself on the missions field.  Africa.  Amazing.  Some people never would have guessed it; others may say they saw it coming all along.  But one thing is certain:  As God continues to write my biography, I only have to stand back and keep my eyes on Him - wherever He leads.
No turning back.

"The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me;

your love, O Lord, endures forever -

do not abandon the works of your hands."

Psalm 138:8
