From Swaziland to Pennsylvania - I've arrived at home, safe and sound! The end of my time in Swaziland proved to be tiring and tearful as I said goodbye to my Swazi friends, my teammates, and a way of life that I am only now realizing how much I miss. It is true that I have been molded by these people and especially by my God as I have walked in the footsteps of Jesus on African soil. My faith and my patience have truly been tested, and my eyes have been opened to an abundance of life that cannot come from wealth or fame. I'm afraid that words cannot do justice to the things that I have seen and experienced. But this much I am sure of: The God we all read about in the Bible is real and he is working in the hearts and lives of his people around the world. And Jesus is still leading his disciples - those who are willing to ask him where he is going and to follow in what he is doing.
God, let me be among the few who have the desire to ask and the courage to follow. Do not let me close my ears to your voice, my eyes to your kingdom, or my heart to your Word. Teach me to wait patiently for your gentle guidance during each season of my life.
And of course, I must thank you, my friends who have shared in this journey with me. It's been a true pleasure sharing this bit of my life with each of you. As my days of posting updates from Swaziland come to a close, please continue to keep in touch with me! My email address is: katiemovic@gmail.com. If you want to get together with me to hear more stories and testimonies about my time in Africa, please let me know!
With love, as always,
Katie Movic
P.S. when I finally organize my pictures, I'll post a few more here for you to see. So, stay tuned for one final blog! :)
